Willingness

In order to increase someone’s willingness, you have to detail the benefits and explain why the product or service is a great value.
You also have to key in on the prospect’s main desires, because if the desire is strong enough, they WILL become much more willing.
Ability
Even if you find that the prospect has the required desire and willingness, you might be unable to close the deal based on their ability.
Going back to the Ferrari example; you might find that a prospect wants a new Ferrari and would be willing to pay for it if they could… but they just can’t!
Most people fall into this category.
Generally, financing options may come into play when trying to improve someone’s ability to make a purchase. Sometimes that means offering a low monthly payment – and sometimes you may need to see if the prospect has a willing co-signer.
This may be required if the “ability issue” is based more on their credit approval, and less on their ability to repay the loan.
When you have all three elements of the new media marketing pyramid working in concert with each other – you make the sale! But, if your sales are slower than you’d like, you may need to re-examine your offer to see if it can be improved.
If you find your offer is solid, it may be that you need to do a better job finding targeted prospects.
